Schoenthaler, Ph.D., Professor, Sociology and Criminal Justice, California State
University, Stanislaus, CA
Dr. Stephen Schoenthaler has been researching the effects of nutrition on
cognition, behavior and intelligence for over 20 years. His research has been
featured on the major US networks and he is one of the most published scientists
world-wide in the field of the neurobiology of anti-social behavior. Dr.
Schoenthaler is a professor of Social and Criminal Justice at California State
University, Stanislaus. He teaches on Criminology, Delinquency, Nutrition and
Behavior, Graduate Research Methods in Criminal Justice, Graduate level Advanced
Statistics, Probation and Parole, Treatment of the Offender, Criminal Law,
Criminal Investigations, Historical and Contemporary Criminal Justice Issues,
and The Family. His honors include being awarded “Outstanding Research and
Creative Activities Professor” at his University in 2002, "The Linus Pauling
Award" for “landmark research in human nutrition and behavior” in 2000; and
being a research partner of Nobel laureate Linus Pauling from 1988 to 1993. In
1991, the BBC reported that Dr. Schoenthaler was one of the leading experts in
the world on the effects of nutrition and behavior.
