GCCF Conference Watch - October 25, 2011  - Bringing Together Leadership

The Georgia Conference on Children and Families Planning Committee is honored to present the 2011 conference, “Learn Today, Lead Tomorrow...Engaging our Youth, Families, and Communities.” Dedicated to achieving the best outcomes for at-risk children, the GCCF is dedicated to bringing together the stakeholder leadership for at-risk children,  learning around best practice, experts in the field of practice and networking around a common vision for children and families and collaboration for change.  We believe that this is best done in a multi-disciplinary event around these common purposes.

This conference includes a full spectrum of disciplines and organizations serving Georgia’s children and families.  They include child advocacy, juvenile justice, social service, education, the private provider and the faith-based communities. The conference brings together thought leaders in Georgia to focus on strategies for improving outcomes for children and families. Leaders  speak to state and federal policy and its impact on performance driven practice.

To achieve the best outcomes, we need resources and supportive services at the community level and supportive systems at the state level that can come together, share, network, collaborate and work together around a system of care.  This conference provides a forum to collaborate,  improve competencies, learn from the best in the field and network with other professionals who have a wealth of experience.

We trust you will benefit from the knowledge, expertise and inspiration offered through keynote presentations, plenary sessions, panel discussions, workshops and networking opportunities.  Partners in planning the conference include:

Court Appointed Special Advocates
Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities
Department of Community Health
Department of Human Services
Department of Juvenile Justice
Foster Family-Based Treatment Association

Georgia Association of Homes and Services for Children
