GCCF Conference Watch - September 28, 2011  - GCCF Brings Together Stakeholders for Improved Outcomes for Children and Families

The Georgia Conference on Children and Families is the largest interdisciplinary conference in Georgia that addresses the needs and services for at risk children and families. Key to this conference is the belief that collaboration is essential for improved outcomes for children and families of Georgia. On the second day of the conference the Commissioners of DHS, DJJ, DBHDD and DECAL will have a panel discussion about the work of the Children's Cabinet. The panel will consider its work around Systems of Care and the joint benchmarks that the Cabinet is considering to measure Georgia's progress in the welfare of its children. These benchmarks of wellbeing, safety and permanency are the work of everyone who has a stake in Georgia's child welfare system.
